NFL Network’s Tom Pellisaro reports that on Wednesday, New England Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne underwent successful surgery on his ACL. The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. According to Pellisaro, Bourne will be rehabbing in Los Angeles with other NFL veterans.

The expected recovery for Kendrick Bourne’s injury in 6-to-8 months. He will be an unrestricted free agent after the season. Bourne was having an excellent season for the Patriots, on pace to finish with 79 receptions, 863 yards and nine touchdowns. Regardless of where Kendrick Bourne ends up next year, he was one of the few bright spots on the Patriots this season.

Meanwhile, the Patriots returned to practice yesterday. Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe and Will Grier all took snaps at quarterback. Jones did take the first snaps, but the starter for the New England Patriots next game has yet to be announced. This weekend is their bye week, so there is still plenty of time for further evaluation.
