Patriots Football Now continues to provide updates and rankings on potential New England Patriots targets in the 2024 NFL Draft. In the last edition, the top offensive tackles were the focus. After a poor performance by Mac Jones last weekend and a 1-3 start for the Patriots, this time the focus is on quarterbacks.

Will New England be ready to move to move on from Mac Jones next season?  If they do, it is important to know the options available. With that in mind, a look at the top college quarterbacks who could find their way to Foxboro next season.

#1 – Caleb Williams, USC

Last season’s Heisman Trophy winner is the consensus number one overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. Although his father recently stated that playing another year for the Trojans is a possibility if there isn’t a “good situation” in the draft, it seems unlikely Williams will not be turning pro. On paper he appears to be the total package with great accuracy, excellent arm strength, good size and the ability to move when needed. Coupled with good decision making and production, it’s hard to imagine Caleb Williams isn’t the first name off the board. Last year he was the best player in the country and his 2023 is off to an even better start, with 21 touchdown passes against only one interception through five games.
