Published

on

The New England Patriots have invited Long Island University tight end Owen Glascoe to rookie minicamp.

The New England Patriots begin rookie minicamp in a week. The session will feature the Patriots’ draft class, UDFA signings, and additional prospects who received an invitation. Patriots Football Now previously reported on eight known invitations to minicamp. In addition to those players, a ninth prospect has been invited: Long Island University tight end Owen Glascoe. His invite was confirmed by his agent Clarissa Harvey of the CHES Agency. CHES represents fellow minicamp invitee Teldrick Ross.

Owen Glascoe originally attended Penn State before transferring to LIU. Glascoe has good size, standing 6-foot-4 and listed at 258 pounds. He earned first-team All-NEC honors the past two seasons. Glascoe ended his college career with 138 receptions for 1,620 yards and 11 touchdowns. He rushed 45 times for 220 yards and nine touchdowns.

Glascoe offers versatility with his ability to run the football as an H-back. This is a quality also possessed by rookie,Jaheim Bell. New England could also use Owen Glascoe at fullback, a position they did not utilize in 2023. With a new offensive coaching staff for the Patriots in 2024, there are opportunities for new players to impress. Owen Glascoe will be one of the NFL hopefuls looking to do just that beginning next Friday.
