2024 NFL Draft Preview: Top 10 Offensive Tackles

Published

on

Patriots Football Now will be providing regular updates on potential New England Patriots targets in the 2024 NFL Draft. Through the first two weeks of the season, the Patriots have had issues with both the health and performance of their offensive line. In addition, both Trent Brown and Mike Onwenu are scheduled to become free agents after the season.

With this in mind, a look at the offensive tackles who could potentially provide help for New England in the 2024 NFL Draft.

#1 – Olu Fashanu, Penn State

Had Fashanu opted to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, he would have been an early first round selection. But after another season with the Nittany Lions, Fashanu could find himself taken as high as second overall. Fashanu has everything NFL teams are looking for in a starting left tackle: size (6-foot-6, 317 pounds), agility (sub-5.0 40), strength, intellect and leadership. Fashanu doesn’t turn 21-years old until December, so he should continue to improve with age and experience. The NFL team that winds up with Fashanu will try and lock up the Preseason All-American as their left tackle for the next decade.
