As the New England Patriots get set for a must-win game against the New York Jets, for the third week in a row their injury report is concerning. The team has announced two more players are officially out.

The New England Patriots full injury report:

OUT
CB Jonathan Jones (ankle)
OL Sidy Sow (concussion)

QUESTIONABLE
DL Christian Barmore (knee)
OL Mike Onwenu (ankle)
OG Cole Strange (knee)

With Jonathan Jones unavailable, the Patriots will be exceptionally thin at cornerback. Jack Jones has been on Injured Reserve all season, joined this past week by Marcus Jones.

New England will rely on a combination of Christian Gonzalez, Myles Bryant and Shaun Wade at cornerbacks. Other options include rookie Ameer Speed, who has been playing on exclusively on special teams to date, or a promotion from the practice squad. The Patriots practice squad has three cornerback options to be elevated to the active roster: William Hooper, along with recently signed Breon Borders and Azizi Hearn.

Defensive back Jalen Mills mentioned yesterday he believes the safety position suits him best, but he could see time at his old cornerback spot on Sunday as well.

Sidy Sow is out for the second consecutive week. He started the season opener at right guard with Mike Onwenu out injured himself. Last week Onwenu and Cole Strange returned from injury to take back their starting spots at offensive guard, though both are listed as questionable for Week 3. If they are unable to go, rookies Atonio Mafi and Jake Andrews are next in line.

New England Patriots LT Trent Brown is not listed on the injury report, which is good news for the offensive line. Brown sat out last week while recovering from a concussion. This gives hope that the the Patriots projected starting offensive line could finally start together for the first team this season.
