Patriots Daily: Jack Jones is a Raider; Ex-Patriot Released
Former New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones was not unemployed for long. After being placed on waivers by the Patriots, Jones was claimed by the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones posted on X thanking the Patriots organizations and their fans. He wrote:
“THANK YOU PATS NATION AND PATS ORGANIZATION I APPRECIATED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THE PATS. ITS LOVE FORVER .. NEW CHAPTER.. BLESSED TO BE A RAIDER” – @presidentjacc

Las Vegas owner Mark Davis has been clearing out former Patriots this season. First the Raiders released Chandler Jones, following an arrest in September. On November 1, Las Vegas fired GM Dave Ziegler, HC Josh McDaniels, and OC Mick Lombardi, all former Patriots employees. They also released former New England WR Kristian Wilkerson, who has since been added back to their practice squad.
Jack Jones also posted to X denying that he ever missed curfew, contrary to reports. Hopefully the fresh start in Las Vegas does Jones well, and he is able to keep his focus on football moving forward.
Also in former Patriots news, the Miami Dolphins released former New England WR/ST Raleigh Webb off of their practice squad, according to David Furones of Sun Sentinel. Webb played 10 games for the Patriots in 2022, almost exclusively on special teams. He was with New England in training camp this season, but was among the team’s final cuts on Aug. 29, 2023.
