The New England Patriots practice participation report for Tuesday was not encouraging. The team listed 11 players as either non-participants or having limited participation in Tuesday’s practice. The one encouraging item involved center David Andrews (hip), who went from DNP (did not participate) on Monday to LP (limited participation) on Tuesday. Through the first two weeks, the only player on the 53-man roster to miss games due to injury has been offensive guard Sidy Sow (ankle).

Sow remained a DNP for the first two days of this week’s reports. Three other Patriots players have yet to participate: OT Vederian Lowe (knee), LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (shoulder), and LB Oshane Ximines (shoulder). The news is concerning for Lowe, whose previous injury was his abdomen. He was injured at the end of regulation on Sunday and did not play in overtime. Bentley and Ximines both left Sunday’s games with injuries. Based on reports, Bentley is unlikely to play, with his entire season appearing in jeopardy. The prognosis is unclear for Ximines.

Joining Andrews on the limited participation list were OT Mike Onwenu (wrist), OG Layden Robinson (shoulder), DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (shoulder), LB Anfernee Jennings (knee), CB Marcus Jones (wrist), and S Jabrill Peppers (shoulder). Fortunately for New England, so far, all limited participants in practice have been able to play in the games this season. The Patriots hope that trend continues in Week 3.

New York Jets Injury Report

The Jets’ injuries are far fewer, with two players listed as DNP. ED Jermaine Johnson suffered a torn Achilles in Week 2, likely to end his season. It will certainly keep him on for Week 3. LB C.J. Mosley was carted off the field with a foot injury on Sunday. He did state he plans to play Thursday, though that remains to be seen. OT Tyron Smith was listed as a limited participant, though it was due to rest for the veteran. It should not affect his availability for the game.

The New England Patriots visit the New York Jets tomorrow at 8:15 p.m. on Prime Video.
