Elite College Prospect
Travis Hunter was a five-star recruit out of Collins Hill High School in Gwinnett County, Ga. 247 Sports and Rivals ranked Hunter as the top prospect in the Class of 2022. On3’s consensus ranking placed Hunter as the consensus No. 2 nationally ranked prospet behind only defensive lineman Walter Nolen. He committed to Florida State after considering Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, and other top college programs. However, Hunter flipped his commitment to Jacksonville State to play for head coach Deion Sanders. This made Hunter the first five-star recruit for an HBCU or an FCS school.
