Former New England Patriots Players in the NFC Playoffs

The New England Patriots will not be participating in this year’s postseason, courtesy of their 4-13 regular season. The Patriots are not playing in the playoffs, but several of their former players will be. Here is a look at the seven former New England players on the NFC playoff teams’ rosters.



No. 1 – San Francisco 49ers (12-5)

CB Logan Ryan – Signed with San Francisco on Dec. 5, 2023. Played in their final five games, recording 13 tackles.

CB Terrance Mitchell – Started the 2022 season on the Patriots practice squad before joining the Titans. Spent this season on IR with the 49ers before reaching an injury settlement and signing back with their practice squad on Jan. 10, 2024.

No. 2 – Dallas Cowboys (12-5)

WR Brandin Cooks – Finished the season with 54 receptions, 657 yards, and eight touchdowns.

DL Carl Davis – On the Dallas practice squad. Was elevated for three games and had three tackles.

CB Stephon Gilmore – Started all 17 games, compiling a career-best 68 tackles and two interceptions.

No. 3 – Detroit Lions (12-5)

None, but former Patriots DL Ray Agnew is the Lions assistant general manager.

No. 4 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-8)

WR Raleigh Webb – Signed with their practice squad on Nov. 22, 2023. Has yet to appear in a game for Tampa Bay.

No. 5 – Philadelphia Eagles (11-6)

None, but former Patriots assistant Matt Patricia is calling their defensive plays.

No. 6 – Los Angeles Rams (10-7)

None, but former New England Patriots assistant Nick Caley and former OL Ryan Wendell are among the members of the coaching staff for the Rams.

No. 7 – Green Bay Packers (9-8)

RB Patrick Taylor – Joined the Patriots practice squad this season before returning back to Green Bay. Had 141 rushing yards this season.
