Patriots Daily: Super Wild Card Weekend; Head Coach Openings

While the New England Patriots are already planning for the 2024 season, others continue to fight it out in the NFL Playoffs this weekend. The first two games of Super Wildcard Weekend were played yesterday. Both home teams advanced to the next round.
In the early game, the Houston Texans dominated the Cleveland Browns. Houston won 45-14. Cleveland led 14-10 in the second quarter, but it all went downhill from there. Browns QB Joe Flacco threw a pair of pick-sixes in the third quarter, sealing Cleveland’s fate. Texans rookie QB C.J. Stroud finished 16-of-21 for 274 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in the win.
Saturday Night Football saw the defending Super Bowl champions emerge victorious. The Kansas City Chiefs eliminated the Miami Dolphins, winning 26-7. Rookie WR Rashee Rice had 130 yards receiving a a touchdown for the Chiefs. The Dolphins offense was never able to get going. Kansas City held Miami to 264 yards of total offense, and Miami converted only 1-of-12 third down attempts.
