Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: Seahawks Enter the Top 10
The movement in the NFL Power Rankings has slowed down as Thanksgiving approaches on the calendar. Top teams have begun to separate themselves from the pack. From the Week 12 NFL Power Rankings, the top five teams remain unchanged. Only one team is new to the top ten in the latest update, the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle began the season at No. 22 in the rankings. However, after a 3-0 start, the Seahawks ascended to No. 5. But the good times didn’t last in the northwest. Seattle lost five of their next six games, dropping their record to 4-5 and moving them down to the No. 21 spot.
Consecutive victories have Seattle headed in the right direction once again. The Seahawks came out their bye week with a Week 11 win over the San Francisco 49ers. They followed that up last week with another NFC West win, this time knocking off the Arizona Cardinals 16-6. The victory gives Seattle a 7-6 record and the No. 10 spot on the Week 13 NFL Power Rankings.
The Seahawks are not the only team on the rise in this week’s rankings. Joining them are the Dolphins, Cowboys, and Browns, all coming off Week 12 wins of their own. The Bears, Texans, Patriots, and Panthers all suffered losses that have them headed in the wrong direction.
