The New England Patriots have added practice squad running back Kevin Harris to the 53-man roster. Harris had been elevated to the active roster the past two weeks. He made his season debut on Sunday against the Chiefs and made the most of it. Harris gained 25 yards on four carries and scored the Patriots final touchdown. He joins Ezekiel Elliott and JaMycal Hasty as healthy running backs on the 53-man roster, although Hasty has yet to make his New England debut.

Rhamondre Stevenson missed the last two games for New England. He injured his ankle in the first quarter against the Chargers and has yet to practice since. It is unclear if Stevenson will play again in 2023. Based on the Patriots 3-11 record and Stevenson’s importance to the franchise, rushing him back to play this season seems unnecessary. However, the Patriots have yet to place him on IR.

In addition to Stevenson, several other Patriots players remain on injury watch. Among them are OT Trent Brown, OT Conor McDermott, TE Hunter Henry, and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Fun Fact of the Day

Only two players drafted by the New England Patriots have gone on to win NFL MVP. Tom Brady won it three times with the Patriots (2007, 2010, 2017). The other is Rich Gannon, who was MVP while playing for the Oakland Raiders in 2002. Gannon was drafted by New England in the fourth round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Minnesota Vikings after not wanting to change positions.
