Bill Belichick’s girlfriend gives Falcons a cruel reminder of what could have been at Super Bowl 51

Bill Belichick’s relationship has made headlines again, but this time, it’s because of his girlfriend’s choice of attire. Ahead of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Jordon Hudson was seen wearing a shirt that appeared to take a jab at the Atlanta Falcons.

Hudson’s shirt featured the words “Champions Super Bowl LI Falcons,” a reference to the infamous game where Belichick’s New England Patriots staged a historic comeback from a 28-3 deficit to defeat Atlanta in overtime (h/t TMZ). The shirt, which was never widely released due to the Falcons’ loss, resurfaced in an apparent trolling moment.

The timing of Hudson’s wardrobe choice adds another layer to the story, as the Falcons had previously interviewed Belichick for their head coaching vacancy last year before ultimately hiring Raheem Morris. Belichick has since accepted a new position as the head coach at the University of North Carolina, moving on from the NFL—at least for now—as he was seen sporting a UNC shirt.

Belichick and Hudson also found themselves in the spotlight during NFL Honors, when host Snoop Dogg took a playful dig at their 48-year age difference. “I’ve been watching football for a long time,” Snoop joked. “I remember when the Cowboys were good, I remember when the Chiefs were bad, and I remember when Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.”

While Belichick has spent decades building a Hall of Fame-worthy coaching resume, his personal life continues to draw just as much attention. Whether Hudson’s shirt was an intentional dig at the Falcons or just a coincidence, it’s yet another reminder that the Patriots’ historic Super Bowl LI win still lives rent-free in Atlanta fans’ minds.
