How funny of a roast it was is up to individual viewers. From this perspective, Drew Bledsoe and Bill Belichick were two highlights. Comedians Nikki Glaser and Sam Jay each got huge laughs as well. Aside from Brady, other frequent targets were Belichick, Gronkowski, Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, and Brady’s trainer turned business partner Alex Guerrero.
Bill Belichick taking a shot with Brady, Gronkowski, and Edelman, then another later with Robert Kraft, were among the more memorable moments for New England Patriots fans. The “GROAT” was not like typical roasts shown on Comedy Central. There were no restrictions on what people were allowed to say, or at least none followed. The panel took full advantage. It was not a PG-rated performance. That said, following all of the negativity discussed in The Dynasty, it was nice to see a group of people responsible for the greatest run in NFL history sharing a few laughs.
