New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon is ready to play ball. He missed most of the 2023 season with a biceps injury suffered in Week 4 but it sounds like Judon is ready to make up for lost time. Judon appeared as a guest on The Money Down Podcast, with hosts Warren Herring, Sojourn Shelton, and former Patriots star James White. Judon shared his mindset heading into the 2024 NFL season.

“I got a personal message” said Judon. “I’m out for a vendetta. Like I got sh-t to prove and I got stuff I want to get done in my career. So personally, I’m on all B.S. all year. I’m about to turn the dial back.”

Despite New England struggling to a 4-13 record in 2023 and parting ways with legendary coach Bill Belichick, Judon was uninterested in talk about a rebuild. “We’re not laying down for nobody. We’re not trying to rebuild. We just got a new coach.”

The Pro Bowler added, “We ain’t about to come out every game looking like a deer in headlights. We’re going to put the best 11 on the field, offense, special teams, and defense, to win a game.”

New England Patriots fans will be happy to have a healthy Matthew Judon back on the field this season. He recorded 32.0 sacks in 38 games since joining the Patriots in 2021. Judon never missed more than two games in a season before 2023. It sounds like he has a lot of pent-up energy to unleash on the league in the coming season.

Football Fun Fact of the Day

The NFL has only officially counted sacks since 1982, though there are unofficial totals for prior years. Matthew Judon currently has 32.0 sacks as a member of the New England Patriots. If he registers 8.0 more he will become just the seventh player in franchise history to reach 40 sacks. The others are Andre Tippett, Willie McGinest, Chris Slade, Mike Vrabel, Rob Ninkovich, and Brent Williams.

Post of the Day

Today’s post is from the NFL with Matthew Judon’s final sack of 2023, resulting in a safety when he took down New York Jets QB Zach Wilson:
