Patriots Football Daily: Bill Belichick to Roast Tom Brady?

Published

on

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady enjoyed tremendous success over their 20-year partnership with the New England Patriots. The head coach and quarterback have a rumored reunion in the works.

Netflix is recording a special featuring the legendary quarterback. But unlike The Dynasty, Netflix hopes the one provides a few more smiles. The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady will be done in traditional roast fashion. A host (Kevin Hart) and the panel will take turns taking friendly jabs at the guest of honor and each other.  Yesterday, Gregg Rosenthal reported that Bill Belichick is set to join the dais, with Boston sports fanatic Ben Affleck listed as a maybe.

Other Patriots reportedly set to be in attendance include Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss, and Drew Bledsoe. Other quality additions from the sports world include Peyton Manning, Paul Pierce, and David Ortiz. Comedian Jeff Ross (aka the “Roastmaster”) will likely participate. Bill Burr would be a solid addition. As would comic Nikki Glaser, who once called Peyton Manning, “the Tom Brady of commercials” at a roast.

The roast will be shown live on Netflix on May 5, 2023, at 8 PM EST.

Football Fun Fact of the Day

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady won 249 games together with the New England Patriots. That is easily the most for any coach-quarterback in NFL history. No other duo is within 100 of the legendary duo.

Two pairs are tied for second place on the list. Sean Payton and Drew Brees won 144 games with the New Orleans Saints. Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger did the same for the Pittsburgh Steelers

Post of the Day

Today’s post is from Alex Barth with a suggestion for Bill Belichick in his roast of Tom Brady. Seems perfect:
