Super Bowl 58 Predictions and Prop Bets
Super Bowl 58 takes place today in Las Vegas. Will the Kansas City Chiefs become the first NFL team in 19 years to win back-to-back titles? Can the San Francisco 49ers join the Patriots and Steelers in the six-time Super Bowl champions club? Here are the predictions and prop bets for the big game.
The gambling is being done with a pool of 1,000 points. Bets are being made on the final score, offense, defense, and Super Bowl MVP. Others can sweat out the coin toss and length of Reba McIntyre’s performance.
Ten bets will be made with 100 points for each. Many of them will be made based on the prediction of the game’s outcome in mind. So without further delay…
Super Bowl 58 Final Score
San Francisco 49ers 31, Kansas City Chiefs 20
Going with a reverse of the Super Bowl 54 final score in the rematch. While Kansas City has lost key players (Tyreek Hill, Frank Clark, Tyrann Mathieu) from that game, San Francisco has only gotten better. Brock Purdy has replaced Jimmy Garoppolo as San Francisco’s quarterback. Christian McCaffrey, Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk, and Chase Young are among the 49ers not playing last time around. These players should prove to be the difference.
While generally going with the best quarterback is a safe bet in Super Bowls, and Patrick Mahomes is certainly the NFL’s premier player, today will belong to the superior team.
Super Bowl 58 Final Score
Sticking with the prediction of a 31-20 win for the 49ers dictates the first two bets:
San Francisco (-1.5) will cover the spread and take the over (47.5)
Offensive Bets
One bet from each side so there is always something to be rooting for.
49ers tight end George Kittle finishes with more than 41.5 receiving yards.
Chiefs running back Isaiah Pacheco registers over 83.5 rushing plus receiving yards.
Defensive Bets
These bets are longer shots to make some money.
There will be a pick-six in the game (+450).
There will be a safety (+1200).
Super Bowl 58 Most Valuable Player
Four bets for Super Bowl MVP (two from each team). Quarterbacks win Most Valuable Player in most games. Quarterbacks also have the worst return on such a bet. Running backs will need to show up today for their teams to be successful. A tight end could win the award for the first time. Let’s cover both positions:
Christian McCaffrey, 49ers (+450)
Travis Kelce, Chiefs (+1,200)
Isaiah Pacheco, Chiefs (+2,500)
George Kittle, 49ers (+6,00)
If Kelce, Pacheco, or Kittle takes home the honor, Super Bowl 58 will be net positive gambling regardless of the other outcomes. Three of these bets will lose, but the big picture is all that matters.
