The New England Patriots received some good news yesterday. WR Demario Douglas (concussion) returned to practice for the first time since being injured against the New York Giants. Douglas was a limited participant, but it is a step in the right direction. His status for Sunday will be determined by how he progresses through concussion protocol. The fact that the NFL neither penalized nor fined Cam Brown of the Giants for clotheslining Douglas remains a head scratcher.

Meanwhile, RB Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) remains sidelined. Stevenson was injured against the Chargers. He exited the game on a play when he fumbled and has been inactive since. Ezekiel Elliott will remain the workhorse for the Patriots if Stevenson is not good to go on Sunday. JaMycal Hasty and practice squad RB Kevin Harris are other options to take snaps.
