A New England Patriots writer (yours truly) returns for game day after being listed as questionable and being out for two days (illness/non-COVID). But the Patriots will be without RB Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) when they return to action today against the Kansas City Chiefs. New England is attempting to put together consecutive victories for the first time in 2023.

While Stevenson is the lone Patriots player ruled out, there are eight others listed as questionable:

Questionable for New England

DT Christian Barmore (shoulder)
LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (knee)
TE Pharaoh Brown (foot)
OT Trent Brown (ankle/hand/illness)
WR DeVante Parker (knee)
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle)
ST Matthew Slater (groin)
WR Tyquan Thornton (groin)

With Rhamondre Stevenson remaining out, and Ty Montgomery having been released by New England, RB Kevin Harris was elevated from the practice squad. He was also elevated against Pittsburgh, but did not get any carries. Unknown if RB JaMycal Hasty will be active for his first game with New England today.

For Kansas City, both RB Isaiah Pacheco (shoulder) and OT Donovan Smith (neck) have been ruled out.

Fun Fact of the Day

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is one of 13 starting quarterbacks to win multiple Super Bowls. He is the only active one. Of the other 12, eight are in the Hall of Fame, and three are not yet eligible (Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning). The only eligible quarterback with multiple Super Bowls not in the Hall of Fame: Jim Plunkett.
