New England Patriots DL Adam Butler

After yesterday’s 21-17 loss saw the New England Patriots fall to 1-5 on the season, there were plenty of people with plenty to say. This included Las Vegas Raiders DL Adam Butler feeling disrespected that Bill Belichick didn’t acknowledge the former Patriots player after the game.

Also, a plethora of injuries in the NFL, including 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey, Bears QB Justin Fields, and former Patriots RB Damien Harris being taken off the field by ambulance on Sunday Night Football.

All of that and more in today’s edition of Patriots Daily…

Fun Fact of the Day

The New England record of 1-5 does not completely eliminate their NFL Playoffs hopes. Since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger, three teams have started a season with only one win through six games but gone on to reach the postseason:

  • 1970 Cincinnati Bengals (1-5 -> 8-6)
  • 2015 Kansas City Chiefs (1-5 -> 11-5)
  • 2018 Indianapolis Colts (1-5 -> 10-6)
