On Monday, the Patriots released Joe Giles-Harris from the practice squad.
Patriots Football Now gave Giles-Harris one of New England’s “Three Stars” in two of their three preseason games. Pro Football Focus gave the linebacker an 84.2 grade for his preseason play. Out of every NFL linebacker who played at least 100 preseason snaps, Giles-Harris received the fourth-highest grade.

New England elevated Giles-Harris from the practice squad three times this season. That is the limited for a practice squad player to be elevated without being added to the 53-man roster.
Joe Giles-Harris played collegiately for the Duke Blue Devils. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Jaguars (2019-2020) and two seasons with the Buffalo Bills (2021-2022) before coming to New England. He spent the entire 2023 season on the Patriots practice squad, appearing in no NFL games.
