New England Patriots defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy

The PThe New England Patriots ruled out defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Roy sat out practice all week with a neck injury. No other Patriost found themselves ruled out for Week 12. Unfortunately, ten others were listed as questionable.

DT Christian Barmroe did not participate in Friday’s practice but was not ruled out against Miami. The other nine players listed as questionable (50-50 chance of playing) were all limited participants in Friday’s practice. The only new addition to the injury report was Christian Gonzalez. A hip injury limited the star cornerback’s participation on Friday. New England needs Gonzalez in the lineup against the Dolphins to defend receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Offensive linemen Vederian Lowe (shoulder) and Cole Strange (knee) were the lone offensive players on the game status report. Strange has been on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list all season. He joined Patriots practice on Wednesday for the first time in 2024. New England needs to add Strange to the 53-man roster for him to play on Sunday. However, they do have a vacancy on the roster.

The Patriots defense is more uncertain. New England listed six defenders as questionable in addition to Barmore and Gonzalez. The other six are DE Keion White (knee), Deatrich Wise Jr. (foot), LB Anfernee Jennings (knee), LB Sione Takitaki (knee), S Kyle Dugger (ankle), and S Marte Mapu (neck). New England’s practice squad elevations could give a clue as to which players will be out.

Miami Dolphins Game Status

The Dolphins ruled cornerback Kendall Fuller (concussion) out for the game. Miami listed FB Alec Ingold (calf), OL Isaiah Wynn (quad/knee), and S Patrick McMorris (calf) as questionable. The Dolphins had 17 players on their injury report at various times throughout the week, which makes four on the final report a good sign for them.

The New England Patriots (3-8) play the Miami Dolphins (4-6) Sunday in Miami. It is the second meeting of the season between the two teams. The Dolphins beat the Patriots 15-10 in Week 5.
