New England Elevates Banks and Westover for Week 12
The New England Patriots made two practice squad elevations on Saturday for the Week 12 game against the Miami Dolphins. The team elevated linebacker Keshawn Banks for the second time this season. Tight end Jack Westover received his first promotion.
New England signed Banks to the practice squad on Oct. 23. He spent the 2023 season with the Green Bay Packers practice squad, though he did not appear in any games. Keshawn Banks made his NFL debut last week against the Los Angeles Rams. He played 18 snaps on special teams but did not record any statistics.
Jack Westover signed with the Patriots practice squad on Oct. 2. The undrafted rookie played collegiately for the Washington Huskies. He was a teammate of second-round pick Ja’Lynn Polk and played for current Patriots wide receivers coach Tyler Hughes.
Westover’s elevation comes as a bit of a surprise. Veteran tight end Mitchell Wilcox is on the Patriots practice squad. Wilcox received two elevations this season, so he still had one remaining.
