Patriots Daily: Rhamondre Stevenson Out; 11 Others Questionable

The New England Patriots are a team that cannot afford more bad news. However, their game status report on Friday provided just that. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. The news does not come as a total surprise as Stevenson has been a non-participant in practice throughout the week.
Additionally, New England listed 11 players as questionable (50-50 chance of playing) for Week 6. The list of questionable players consists of:
WR K.J. Osborn (shoulder)
OG Layden Robinson (ankle, wrist)
C Nick Leverett (ankle)
LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder)
LB Sione Takitaki (knee)
CB Isaiah Bolden (hamstring)
CB Marcus Jones (groin)
CB Marco Wilson (groin)
S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
LS Joe Cardona (calf)
The two players elevated from the practice squad today should shed some light on which players are unlikely to play. RB Kevin Harris is likely to be one of the elevations. Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty are the two running backs available on the Patriots’ 53-man roster. New England is not in a position to be able to afford to play shorthanded more than they already are. The “next man up” mentality is great but it becomes difficult when a dozen or more players become unavailable. Stay tuned.
