Last weekend, Patriots Football Now kicked off our coverage of the 2025 NFL Draft with a profile on LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell. There will continue to be weekly player profiles of top prospects throughout the college football season. Of course, as the draft gets closer, there will be positional rankings, mock drafts, and more.

The defensive side of the ball gets showcased this week. Michigan’s Will Johnson projects to be a top-ten selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. Get to know the Wolverines’ cornerback:

Background

Will Johnson was part of the high school class of 2022. He played for Grosse Pointe South (Mich.) High School. Johnson ranked as a five-star recruit, with offers from every major program nationwide. His consensus ranking (per On3.com) was No. 16 overall in the Class of 2022, though Rivals.com was particularly high on him. Rivals listed Johnson as the No. 5 overall recruit and No. 2 cornerback, behind only Travis Hunter (now a two-way start for Colorado). His only official visits were to Michigan and USC. Johnson opted to stay in-state to play his collegiately.
