Patriots Daily: 2024 NFL Kickoff Day; New England’s Health Status

Welcome to the 2024 NFL regular season! The New England Patriots have to wait until Sunday in Cincinnati to play but the NFL Kickoff Game takes place tonight in Kansas City. The two-time defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs will play host to the Baltimore Ravens. It is an immediate matchup of two teams with aspirations of playing on Super Bowl Sunday this season.

With the 2024 regular season upon us, there will be several preseason pieces on Patriots Football Now today. This includes predictions for this season’s NFL standings and awards, plus the PFN Week 0 NFL Power Rankings. Of course, we will also keep folks up to date on news from the New England Patriots and the rest of the NFL as it breaks. Stay tuned.

Patriots Health Update

The New England Patriots posted their first health status of the season yesterday after practice. Players were not listed as probable, questionable, or out. It was simply a listing of practice participation, though likely gives a good idea of who will be available on Sunday.

Did Not Participate: OG Sidy Sow (ankle)

Limited Participation: CB Jonathan Jones (hamstring), OT Vederian Lowe (abdomen), LB Joshua Uche (foot), LB Oshane Ximines (ankle)

Full Participation: LB Christian Elliss (concussion), TE Hunter Henry (foot), LB Anfernee Jennings (wrist), DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (hamstring)

Nothing comes as a major surprise, though seeing the full participants, especially Hunter Henry is nice. Sidy Sow and the limited participants are all worth monitoring.
