Top Stage of Elimination Bets

As we barrel into late summer, when the evening sun turns golden, and the farm-fresh corn and heirloom tomatoes are our just rewards for existing through the brutal heat of June and July, our thoughts turn to NFL football.
DraftKings offers a whole board of exotic NFL futures bets where players can find value, including the Stage of Elimination bets, where you can predict where each NFL team’s season will end.
DraftKings Sportsbook also offers new players $150 in bonus bets after an initial $5 bet.
Are you ready for some predictions? Read on for my top Stage of Elimination bets.
Las Vegas Raiders to Lose In Wildcard Round +425
The Las Vegas Raiders are a team I’m buying this NFL season.
They have a fantastic defense, play in what looks like a lousy AFC West (aside from the Kansas City Chiefs), and QB Gardner Minshew II is an upgrade at the position, if slightly. Second-year QB Aiden O’Connell is also a candidate for the starting position.
O’Connell didn’t light the world on fire in his rookie season, throwing for 2,218 yards and 12 TDs, but he does play a clean game. O’Connell threw only seven interceptions in his debut campaign.
The Raiders also play a reasonable schedule where they can win more close games than they lose if they get average QB play. Games against the Steelers, Browns, Jaguars, and Panthers are all winnable.
I know I’m in the minority, but I think ten wins is possible and enough to sneak in to get blown apart in the Wild Card Round by an elite AFC team.
Los Angeles Rams to Lose in the Super Bowl +2200
The LA Rams are another team I think the market undervalues ahead of the 2024 season.
What’s not to like?
They have a great head coach in Sean McVay. Matthew Stafford is aging but remains an elite QB. WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua represent maybe the best one-two receiver combo in the NFL.
Aaron Donald retired, but the Rams still have Kobe Turner on the defensive line. They also added DT Braden Fiske in the 2024 draft. The defense has weaknesses in the backfield, but Chris Shula’s scheme should help mitigate them.
The NFC is also a weak conference with no elite teams other than the San Francisco 49ers. Barring injury, the Rams have as good a shot as any to make the Super Bowl.
