The New England Patriots released a statement with some scary news on Sunday regarding star player Christian Barmore. According to the press release from the team, Barmore was diagnosed with blood clots over the weekend. The team states the defensive tackle was “tested, diagnosed, and treated.”

There was no timetable given for Christian Barmore’s return to the playing field. His full recovery is of paramount importance, football aside. The disparity in potential outcomes is too great to speculate on without more information. It would careless to do so at this point. So for now, Patriots Football now simply joins the New England Patriots in wishing Barmore a full recovery.

This was the statement released by the New England Patriots:

Christian Barmore is arguably the New England Patriots’ best player. He signed a four-year contract worth up to $92 million earlier this offseason. Barmore won the Andre Tippett Award in 2023, given out by PFN to the Patriots’ Defensive Player of the Year. He celebrated turning 25.

Fortunately, Christian Barmore’s blood clot issue appears to have been properly diagnosed and treated. As the New England Patriots statement says, “We look forward to his full recovery.”
