Stefon Diggs Gets Traded Out of the AFC East
The Buffalo Bills are shaking things up. They traded star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft compensation. The draft pick compensation remains unknown at this time. ESPN’s Adm Schefter was the first to report the news.

Stefon Diggs enters his tenth NFL season in 2024. He spent his first five NFL seasons in Minnesota. The Vikings traded him to the Bills in 2020. Buffalo sent a collection of draft picks to Minnesota, including a first-round pick used to select All-Pro Justin Jefferson.
Diggs made the Pro Bowl all four seasons with the Bills. In four seasons he caught 455 passes for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns. During his time in Buffalo, Diggs was first in the NFL in receptions, and fourth in both receiving yards and touchdowns. He got demonstrably frustrated at times in Buffalo. All signs pointed to the relationship having run its course.
The trade gives Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud another great option to throw to. Buffalo gets to reset their salary cap a bit, pick up draft capital, and will now likely look to select a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft. Bills quarterback Josh Allen has now lost his top two receivers in the offseason, as Gabe Davis signed with Jacksonville as a free agent.
