The NFL announced their top earners in performance-based pay yesterday. This is additional money players earn on top of their salary based on playing time and other performance goals. Baltimore Ravens offensive guard John Simpson led all NFL players, collecting an additional $974.613. Guards did well, accounting for five of the top ten spots of earners. That position also produced the highest bonus for the New England Patriots.
Rookie Sidy Sow led Patriots players with over $619,000 heading his way. New England selected Sow in the fourth round (No. 117) in the 2023 NFL Draft. He became the team’s starting right guard when Mike Onwenu was shifted to right tackle. Sow appeared in 15 games, starting 13. He projects to be the team’s starting right guard for the foreseeable future after a solid first campaign.
Other Patriots players collecting at least $400,000 in performance-based pay were Anfernee Jennings, Pharaoh Brown, DeMario Douglas, Atonio Mafi, and Jahlani Tavai. A look at the Top 25 from the NFL:

Football Fun Fact of the Day
Sidy Sow was born in Quebec, Canada. He has a long way to go to become the NFL’s leader in games played for somebody born in Canada. Former Long snapper L.P. Ladouceur played his entire 16-year career (2005-2020) with the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared in 253 regular season games and nine more in the postseason.
