Patriots Football Daily: Judon Recruits Free Agents on GMFB
Matthew Judon joined the cast of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football this week as a guest host. The New England Patriots star has chimed in on many topics during the week. On Wednesday’s show, Judon was asked who he would like to see the New England Patriots pursue in free agency.
Judon first noted that the Patriots need to sign safety Kyle Dugger. He then turned his attention to the offensive side of the ball.
“Gabe Davis, you don’t have to leave the division, you just have to leave New York,” Judon pitched the Buffalo Bills wide receiver. Davis finished the 2023 season with 45 receptions 746 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns.
Matthew Judon then pitched perhaps the top-ranked UFA wide receiver to come to New England.
“Calvin Ridley, come on over to the red, white, and blue. We have a spot for you. Nobody wears zero, it’s all yours.”
Ridley missed the entire 2022 NFL season due to a suspension for gambling. He returned in 2023 to catch 76 passes for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“We have a great running back, and we just need another one,” prefaced Judon with his third pitch of the morning. “So I’m saying, Josh Jacobs, come on over from Nevada. They didn’t treat you well.”
Josh Jacobs is part of a deep free-agency class of running backs. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2022 when he led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards. His production took a significant dip in 2023. It will be interesting to monitor where running backs like Jacobs, Saquon Barkley, and Derrick Henry ultimately land this offseason.

Football Fun Fact of the Day
Jeff Feagles, who turns 58 today, played his first two NFL seasons (1988-1989) with the New England Patriots. He is the NFL’s all-time leader in career punts with 1,713. However, only 154 of those punts were with the Patriots.
New England’s all-time leader in punts is Rich Camarillo, who amassed 468 between 1981 and 1987.
