Patriots Daily: Shooting at Super Bowl Parade in Kansas City
The Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their Super Bowl 58 championship with a parade and rally in the city yesterday. As with all such events, there was a lot of joy, enthusiasm, and optimism that they’d be able to do it again next year. But before the event was over, happiness was replaced by fear.
As the Chiefs team was getting ready to exit the stage, shots rang out. The latest update stated 22 people were injured, 20 of them children, with one person being killed. ABC News reports Kansas City radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan died in the shooting. Three people were arrested in connection to the shootings, but as of now no motive has been given and the suspects have not been identified.

This latest senseless shooting ruined a celebratory event, injured many, traumatized countless more, and ended the life of Lopez-Galvan. It is heartbreaking. It is unacceptable.
Sending love to Kansas City and all of those affected by yesterday’s tragedy.

Tweet of the Day
Tweet of the Day comes from Chris Brathwaite and Dana Wright with some appreciation for heroic fans during the shooting at yesterday’s Kansas Chiefs parade…
Those people are heroes. Without any body armor or protection put their lives on the line to prevent further bloodshed. KC is a wonderful city, full of great people. Make sure you shower these folks with love.
