Patriots Daily: Divisional Round Set; Falcons Interview Belichick

With yesterday’s final two “Super Wildcard Weekend” games, the NFL’s Divisional Round of the playoffs is now set. Monday saw the Buffalo Bills eliminate the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-17. This means the top four seeds in the AFC have all advanced. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Philadelphia Eagles from start to finish, winning 32-9.
Next weekend’s playoff games will feature:
Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
The Packers were the lone road team to win over the weekend, knocking off the Dallas Cowboys 48-32.

Also making news yesterday was the announcement from the Atlanta Falcons that they have interviewed former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick for their vacant head coaching job. Belichick has been strongly linked to Atlanta, even before his tenure in New England had officially come to an end. However, this does not make his hiring imminent. There are still seven open head coach jobs in the NFL, with potentially more on the way after some playoff eliminations over the weekend.
