Patriots Daily: Flying to Pittsburgh; Kayshon Boutte Back

Published

on

New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte

With the New England Patriots playing on Thursday Night Football this week, Wednesday was their travel day. The team flew to Pittsburgh in advance of their nationally televised game. That left Tuesday as the lone full practice day for the Patriots this week.

One bit of positive news from practice was the return of Kayshon Boutte. He was one of seven limited participants. Boutte had been ruled out against the Chargers after playing the week before. The rookie has appeared in only three games so far this season. However, with New England’s offense continuing to struggle, Boutte is a player worth taking a good look at for the remainder of 2023. Leading receivers Kendrick Bourne and Demario Douglas are both out. This leaves a golden opportunity for Boutte and the other Patriots receivers to step up and show their worth. It might be too late to salvage the 2023 season, but auditioning for 2024 jobs has already begun.

Fun Fact of the Day

Today is the birthday of the late Cleveland Browns legendary QB Otto Graham. He was a seven-time All-Pro selection. The NFL record for most first team All-Pro selections is shared by Jerry Rice and Jim Otto, with ten each. Peyton Manning is the only other quarterback with seven.
