Patriots Daily: DNP for Trent Brown; Taking Flight for Frankfurt
Most of the talk surrounding the New England Patriots yesterday centered around J.C. Jackson. As covered on PFN, Jackson will be inactive for this weekend’s game. The cornerback will not even make the trip, as the Patriots hope this will help him regain his focus on football, according to reports from NFL Network. Jackson was listed as a DNP for Wednesday’s practice, though he was not the only one.
Trent Brown, who sat out the Commanders game with ankle/knee injuries was also a DNP. Brown was listed as being out for “personal reasons/ankle” but unlike with Jackson, it is unclear what Brown’s personal issues were.
Also revealed yesterday after the J.C. Jackson news broke was that fellow CB Jack Jones had also missed curfew at the team hotel on Saturday. Jack Jones, like Jackson, began the game on the sideline, though Bill Belichick provided no explanation at the time and said it was not for disciplinary reasons.
On a positive note for the Patriots, they will be traveling far away from their critics today. The team is set to take flight for Germany. They will face the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt in Sunday.

Fun Fact of the Day
Since the NFL moved to 32 teams in 2002, only three franchises have not started a season 2-7 or worse: Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and Pittsburgh Steelers. The New England Patriots were knocked off of the list last weekend.
