New England Patriots Inactive Report for Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Deshaun Fenwick

The New England Patriots have released their inactive list for today’s game against the Washington Commanders. The six players listed as inactive are:

CB Alex Austin
WR Kayshon Boutte
OT Trent Brown
QB Will Grier (3rd QB)
WR DeVante Parker
DL Sam Roberts

Parker’s absence was already known. It is a surprise to see some of the other names on the list, however.

PFN was encouraging the Patriots to give Kayshon Boutte some playing time and it looked like this was the week for it. Boutte will need to wait at least another week to get some game reps. WR Tyquan Thornton was questionable, but is active.

Trent Brown was a limited participant in practice this week. He has been questionable for nearly the entire season, but has only missed one game so far. His loss could be felt today.

Alex Austin was signed this week but will need to wait for his New England Patriots debut.

Sam Roberts being out means that two questionable players (Christian Barmore, Davon Godchaux) are able to go. Newly added Jeremiah Pharms, Jr. is also active.

The Washington Commanders have also released their inactive list for the game, with no surprises.
