Patriots Daily: White Returns to Practice; Bills Win on TNF

Published

New England Patriots defensive end Keion White

Some good news for the New England Patriots on Thursday as defensive end Keion White was able to return to practice. Although he was a limited participant in Patriots practice, is is a step in the right direction. White is in concussion protocol. He has not played since getting injured in Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Participating in practice does not guarantee the rookie will play on Sunday, but it is a step in the right direction.

Meanwhile, a bit of bad news with practice participation as well. OT Calvin Anderson went from limited participation (LP) to did not participate (DNP) with an illness. WR Ty Montgomery was a DNP as well, but it was apparently not injury related. Montgomery was said to have missed practice for personal reasons. He had been a limited participant on Wednesday with a knee injury.

The only other change from Wednesday’s report was the addition of OT Vederian Lowe (LP) with an ankle injury

Plus Rob Gronkowski, Brock Purdy and the Buffalo Bills win in today’s edition of Patriots Daily…

Fun Fact of the Day

The New England Patriots now sit at 2-5 as they get ready to play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. With their win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, their playoff odds have significantly improved. Only one team has started 1-6 and made the playoffs since the AFL-NFL merger (1970 Cincinnati Bengals). But 12 teams, including the Bengals, have started 2-5 or worse and went on to make the playoffs. This includes one team in the last three years in a row:

2020 – Washington Commanders
2021 – Philadelphia Eagles
2022 – Jacksonville Jaguars
