Patriots Daily: Jalen Mills, La’el Collins and More…

Good news for the New England Patriots was there were no surprises absences at yesterday’s team practice. In fact, Mike Onswenu returned to limited participation after missing Tuesday. Onwenu was forced to leave Sunday’s game due to the injury, while playing his best football of the season at the time. Both Demario Douglas and JuJu Smith-Schuster did not participate as they remain in concussion protocol. If they aren’t able to get on the field by Friday it is extremely unlikely either will be able to play against the Raiders on Sunday.

Fun Fact of the Day
The New England Patriots have not made a selection in the top five of the NFL Draft since 1994 (Willie McGinest). The only other NFL franchise with zero during that span is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On the other end of the spectrum is the Jackson Jaguars (10), followed by the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions, with nine each.
Tweet of the Day
Today’s PFN Tweet of the Day comes from New England Patriots defensive back Jalen Mills (@greengoblin). Just seems so rare for anything in the Patriots locker room to go public with any thoughts on any subjects. In this instance however, Mills certainly seems to take notice of how many snaps he played in Sunday’s blowout loss to New Orleans…
10 snaps😓 damn. https://t.co/Yb1rhn09Oy
