At 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, Daniel Ekuale has been a dependable run stuffer for New England’s defense. Since joining the Patriots prior to the 2021 season, he has played in 26 games. In that span, he has recorded 23 total tackles, including four sacks. Ekuale also had a forced fumble in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
The loss of Daniel Ekule will be a significant one for New England Patriots defensive front. They will now turn to Christian Barmore, Davon Godchaux, Lawrence Guy, Deatrich Wise and Sam Roberts to pick up the slack. It is also possible that Jeremiah Pharms gets elevated from the practice squad.
