New England Patriots Inactive Report for Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Deshaun Fenwick

The New England Patriots have announced their inactives for today’s game against the New York Jets. Five players are listed, with no major surprises.

Both Jonathan Jones (ankle) and Sidy Sow (concussion) had been previously downgraded to out. Newly acquired  Will Grier will serve as the Patriots emergency quarterback. OL Tyrone Wheatley Jr. and WR Kayshon Boutte are the other players listed.

The bigger news for the New England Patriots are the players not listed.

Starting offensive guards Cole Strange and Mike Onwenu will both be active for the game. This means the Patriots will have complete offensive line available for the first time all season. While the unit might not be at fault strength, it is certainly a step in the right direction.

Kayshon Boutte is inactive for the second week in a row. This means that DeVante Parker remains healthy, and Demario Douglas is active after last week’s in-game benching following a fumble.

Also worth noting that DL Christian Barmore (knee) is active, after being listed as questionable. New England also made DL Sam Roberts active this week for the first time all season.

Considering the Inactive Report has generally been full of bad news for the New England Patriots fans, today’s list seems like a best-case scenario of sorts, given what was already known.
